About...Dr Becky Quicke

BSc (hons), D.Clin.Psy, C.Psychol., AFBPsS

It's such a worry knowing who to trust when you're feeling desperate for help.

I've been there myself when I was looking for my own support. Before I tell you a bit about me, let me share 4 steps to help you find the right person for you.

1. Speak to at least 3 coaches or therapists by booking a free call or session with them. This gives you the chance to check their credentials and get a feel for how it would be working with them. Coaching and therapy is intimate work, you need to feel comfortable and be able to trust your coach or therapist. Even if you're sure you want to work with me, I still encourage you to speak with at least one other coach, therapist, clinical psychologist. You can book a free 30min session with me HERE.

2. Get to know them by following their social media and listen to any podcasts they have done. Do you like the messages they are sharing? Do you think they could help you with what you need right now? Here's the link to my Instagram, where I hang out the most.

3. Ask them which professional body they're registered with and check they're on the register. This means they have to adhere to ethical codes of conduct. The title 'Psychologist' does not mean that a person is qualified with any professional training. It simply means they have completed a psychology degree, which does not provide any expertise as a therapist. Same with the titles Coach, Counsellor, Psychotherapist. Always check their professional registration. Click HERE to check mine.

4. Then trust your instinct. Your gut knows whether they're a good fit for you.

Now to help you get to know me a little...I'll summarise some of the important bits.

Firstly, I'm a 43 year old solo mum (she/her) of 2 girls, having gone through divorce in 2020. I've been in the trenches of hormonal symptoms, just like you, which have been debilitating at times. I have used (and continue to use) everything that I have learned in my career as a Clinical Psychologist to help me cope and feel like myself again. I'm here to help you do the same.

Even though I'm yet to go through menopause itself, I've worked with many women who are further along the journey than me and my programmes have helped to transform their lives. Read what they've said in the testimonials on the main website page.

With a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology, over 20 years of experience working in the NHS and in my private clinic and a huge drive to provide excellence in my work, I have distilled cutting edge and scientifically proven psychological approaches down into an easy to follow coaching process to help you get your life back on track in peri/menopause.

Although an expert in my field, there is no bulls*t with me so if you'd like to learn some top drawer psychological coping skills from a down to earth woman who prides herself in providing a high quality service then I may the person you've been looking for.

Let's see if there's a fit between what you need and what I can offer.
